The Love of God: Reflecting His Love Through Our Lives

Hello! I pray this message finds you loved, encouraged, and filled with joy today.

God created us as relational beings. That is why He placed us within families and communities. Love sits at the centre of human relationships because its true source comes from God.

The Bible teaches that love is not simply something God gives us. Love reveals who God is. Therefore, everyone who truly knows God will grow in love and reflect His character.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
— 1 John 4:7 (NIV)

When love is absent from our lives, it reveals a gap in our understanding of God’s nature. We all desire to receive love, kindness, and acceptance. However, we must also ask ourselves: How much love do we show to those around us?

Love is not an optional part of the Christian journey. It is a command and a lifestyle. God showed His love by sending Jesus Christ to save humanity.

Because God gave His greatest gift, we are called to reflect that same love through generosity, compassion, patience, and forgiveness.

Ask yourself:

What am I willing to give so that others can experience God’s love through me?

There are times when love demands more than feelings. True love requires sacrifice. It may require forgiveness when you feel hurt, patience when situations become difficult, and kindness when others do not respond the same way.

However, this is where genuine love becomes visible.

God’s love does not only appear in comfortable moments. It shines brightest through sacrifice, endurance, and grace. The love that comes from God flows through us and transforms our words, choices, and relationships.

Therefore, do not define love only by emotions or convenience. Let God’s love become part of who you are.

If you know God, you will continue to grow in love. As His love grows within you, it produces something eternal that impacts everyone around you.

Radiate God’s love this week. Let your life become a reflection of the God who is love.
