Hello! I pray this message finds you well. May the Lord continue to hold us securely in the hollow of His hand. May He also make our ways pleasing to Him.
Scripture makes it clear that we are God’s children and heirs with Christ. We also have the help of the Holy Spirit. He intercedes for us, even in our weaknesses.
What a benevolent and glorious God we serve!
God is in us, with us, and for us. Therefore, what conclusion can we reach when we face opposition, rejection, or difficult circumstances?
Paul gives us the answer:
“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
— Romans 8:31 (NIV)
So, who can oppose God’s purpose for us and ultimately succeed? No one!
People may oppose us. Some may reject or persecute us. Circumstances may also become extremely difficult. However, none of these things can ultimately overcome what God is doing for us and in us.
This does not mean we will never experience hardship. Instead, it means hardship does not have the final word.
When God is for you, opposition may challenge you. Nevertheless, it cannot ultimately defeat God’s purpose for your life.
You may be facing an ongoing battle, rejection, discrimination, or resistance. Perhaps your circumstances seem completely against you right now.
Remember this: you are not alone.
Your security does not depend on who stands against you. It rests on who stands with you.
God remains with you through every challenge. He strengthens you in your weakness and guides you through difficult seasons.
Therefore, do not allow opposition to define your future. Let God’s presence define your confidence.
Difficulties and resistance do not mean God has abandoned you.
God is for you, even when your circumstances seem to be against you. Therefore, keep moving forward with courage and faith.
Opposition may delay you, but it does not have to defeat you.
Rejection may hurt you, but it does not determine your worth.
Difficult circumstances may test you, but they do not cancel God’s purpose.
When you know God is for you, opposition may challenge you, but it does not have to intimidate you.
So, lift your eyes beyond the opposition and remember the promise of Romans 8:31:
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Take this truth with you as you go into this week:
God is for you. He is with you. He is working in you. Therefore, move forward with courage and faith.
