Statements of Faith
Grounded in Scripture. Guided by the Spirit.
These statements summarize the core beliefs that shape our worship, teaching, and mission.
We affirm these not as mere doctrines, but as life-shaping truths given to us by God through His Word.
The Bible
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are the complete, divinely inspired Word of God, and are the guide and final authority in matters of faith and day-to-day life, taught by the Holy Spirit to each believer.
God
We believe that there is one God who is eternally existent in three co-equal persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Creation
We believe that God created everything out of nothing in six days, for His own pleasure and purpose.
God's Sovereignty and Love
We believe in the love, grace, and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming, and judging the world.
Sin and the Fall
We believe that sin entered into the world through Adam and has continued through all time in mankind, but when he sinned, we became enemies of God, and only through faith in Jesus Christ can we be born again into God’s kingdom.
The Curse
We believe that when man fell, all of creation was cursed and is subject to destruction.
The Virgin Birth
We believe in the historic virgin birth of Jesus Christ and that He is the Son of God.
The Sinless Life and Sacrifice of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a perfect and sinless life, and that through dying on the cross He is the perfect sacrifice for our redemption..
The Resurrection and Ascension
We believe that Jesus Christ our Lord rose from the grave on the third day after dying on the cross and showed Himself to over 500 witnesses before He ascended to heaven, where He now is a mediator on our behalf with God.
The Holy Spirit’s Power
We believe that through the Holy Spirit, after conversion, we are given power to live our everyday Christian lives.
The Great Commission
We believe in going out and preaching the Gospel to all, through being salt and light in our community.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that the Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts upon us to teach, help, love, be patient, and to accept each other for who we are.
Baptism
We believe in the full immersion in water of new believers as being the method of baptism, which means leaving our old lives behind and entering the new one given to us by God.
Communion
We take communion in line with biblical instruction.
Fellowship
We believe in meeting together in fellowship as biblical instruction to do so.
Satan
We believe in the existence and personality of Satan, his complete opposition to God, His Word, and His people. We believe that he was defeated at Calvary’s cross, and his ultimate punishment still awaits him.
Eternal Destiny
We believe that the final destiny of man at death is: everlasting life in the presence of God for the saved; eternal judgment for the lost because of their unbelief, as they remain unsaved from their sins.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the future visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to gather the Church, His bride, as He promised.
The New Creation
We believe in God’s future creation of a new heavens and a new earth, perfect and devoid of the effects of the curse of the fall.
