Safeguarding
policy

We are committed to creating a safe and caring environment for everyone, as outlined in our safeguarding policy at Word of Life Church Ashington.

At Word of Life Church Ashington, the safety, dignity and well-being of every child, young person and vulnerable adult is our top priority.

This safeguarding policy  aim to create and maintain a safe and caring environment where we value, respect, and support everyone — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Therefore, this policy provides clear guidance for all volunteers.

What Our Policy Covers

In particular, we cover key areas in this policy, including:

  • Recognising and responding to concerns or disclosures of harm.
  • Training, supervising and ongoing support for our team of volunteers.
  • Creating safe environments for children and vulnerable adults within all our church activities.

We are committed to continual improvement in safeguarding. Additionally, we review our policy annually or sooner if updated legislation, safeguarding guidance, or a serious incident occurs. Moreover, the Leadership Team implements and monitors the policy.
