Hello! I pray this message finds you strengthened and encouraged today.
As Christmas activities reach their peak, many people exchange cards, flowers, and thoughtful gifts. However, we must pause and reflect. We need to remember the true source of our joy. More importantly, we must understand the purpose behind it.
Christmas celebrates more than a birth. It reveals divine love in action. Love did not begin with us. Instead, God initiated love by sending His Son. Jesus came, not to improve circumstances alone, but to give true life.
Scripture makes this truth clear:
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
— 1 John 4:9–10 (NKJV)
Reflection
Do we show love only to those who deserve it? Or do we embody God’s love to everyone we meet? Christ calls us to love beyond convenience. Therefore, let us allow His light to shine through us. This includes friends, neighbours, and even the undeserving.
Motivation
At Christmas, we celebrate a love that initiates, not reacts. It gives, not demands. Above all, it saves, not merely comforts. Because God has revealed His love to us, we can live with lasting joy. This season—and always—let us reflect that same love to others.
Merry Christmas to you all.
