Don’t Grow Weary in Doing Good: Encouragement for the Tired Believer

Hello! I pray this message finds you strengthened, encouraged, and uplifted as you begin the week.

Many believers pour themselves into others daily. They carry burdens. They give emotionally, financially, and psychologically. Over time, this constant outpouring creates deep fatigue. Eventually, the strength to continue feels depleted.

However, weariness is not only physical or emotional. Spiritual tiredness also plays a role. The adversary often uses discouragement to slow believers down. When exhaustion settles in, motivation weakens, and hope begins to fade.

Yet Scripture speaks directly to this moment.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
— Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

Paul’s wording reveals more than simple tiredness. He describes a loss of motivation caused by prolonged effort without visible results. This is not laziness. Instead, it is the weight of faithful labour that feels unrewarded.

Importantly, Paul does not deny the exhaustion. Rather, he redirects focus. God sees every act of obedience. God controls the timing. Therefore, stopping now would mean quitting just before the breakthrough.

Pause and reflect for a moment. Have you invested too much to abandon the journey now?

A farmer who stops sowing because the soil looks empty forfeits a harvest already forming underground. In the same way, perseverance does not earn God’s blessing. Instead, it keeps the believer aligned with grace until the appointed season arrives.

Although progress may feel invisible, God continues His work. Often, the due season arrives closer than expected.

So keep doing good. Keep serving faithfully. Above all, do not lose heart.

Remain blessed and strengthened.
